Just south of downtown Raleigh, covering the 27610 zip code, the South Raleigh area encompasses a large geographic region that is mostly residential homes, townhomes, and apartments. In addition, the area south of Interstate 40 also includes NC State's Centennial Campus and the State Fairgrounds. It’s one of the city’s most rapidly growing districts.
