Midtown Raleigh

What area is considered Midtown Raleigh?

Midtown Raleigh is the area geographically between North Raleigh and Downtown Raleigh. It lies just above the Interstate 40 beltline and includes a combination of residential, commercial, and mixed-use areas. The Midtown Raleigh area includes four different districts- North Hills, Crabtree Valley, Village District and the Five Points neighborhood. Each of the four areas is walkable, which makes this one of the mosts popular areas in Raleigh to live.

A mix of new multi-residential living spaces, restaurants, shops and businesses surrounded by established communities where you’ll see many mid-century ranches and split levels that were popular in their time.

North Hills was first completed in the 1960s as the most ambitious multi-use planned community for its time. It included 325 homes, a clubhouse, a park, a school, and a shopping center.

Today, it is still evolving with more plans for modern high-rises, sleek retail spaces and existing home renovations in the nearby neighborhoods.
